FAQs

  • What should I bring to my child's appointment?

Please bring your child's insurance card, a list of any current medications, and any forms that need to be completed. If this is your first visit, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete new patient paperwork. It is important to bring any relevant medical history or information that may be helpful for the pediatrician to know. This includes previous medical records, allergies, and any concerns or questions you may have.

  • How often should my child have a check-up?

We recommend that children have a child wellness check-up at least once a year. However, some children may need more frequent visits depending on their medical needs. Infants and young children typically need more frequent check-ups to ensure that they are meeting important developmental milestones. During these visits, the pediatrician will perform a physical exam and address any concerns or questions you may have.

  • How do I schedule an appointment?

We do accept walk-in appointments. However, it would be very helpful if you could schedule an appointment by calling our office during business hours or by using our online contact form on our website. Our staff will work with you to schedule a convenient time for your child's appointment. Please note that sick visits cannot be scheduled online, as we need to assess your child's symptoms over the phone to determine the appropriate level of care.

  • Can I bring my child in for a sick visit without an appointment?

We accept walk-ins and try our best to minimize your wait time. It is best to call ahead to schedule an appointment, as this will help us to manage our schedule and provide the best possible care for your child. If your child is experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.

  • What should I do if my child is sick after hours?

If your child is experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911. If it is a non-emergency but you need medical advice, you can call our office and leave a message for our on-call physician. Our physician will return your call as soon as possible to provide guidance on what steps to take next.

We will work with you to find other accommodations or choices that are available to you.

  • How do I prepare my child for a visit to the pediatrician?

It can be helpful to explain to your child what to expect during their visit, including any procedures or tests that may be done. You can also bring a favorite toy or comfort item to help your child feel more at ease.

  • What should I do if my child has a reaction to a vaccine?

If your child has a reaction to a vaccine, please contact our office immediately. In some cases, it may be necessary to seek medical attention. It is important to follow the recommended vaccine schedule to ensure that your child is protected from serious illnesses.

  • What should I do if I have concerns about my child's development?

If you have concerns about your child's development, please bring them up during your child's well-child check-up. Our pediatricians can provide guidance on what milestones to expect and can refer you to specialists if necessary.
